Parivartan trust was established by Dr. Narendra Dabholkar and Dr. Shaila Dabholkar in 1991. The journey began with a small counselling centre for people having addiction problems at Satara District, Maharashtra, India.
In three decades, Parivartan evolved into a pioneer organisation in the development and scientific testing of various models of care for people with mental health and addiction problems.
We have adopted a unique method of implementation research which involves the development of a model of real-life services for people with mental health problems and evaluating them with various scientific methods.
We aim to provide high quality comprehensive mental health services at low cost to marginalised communities.
